Nicaragua VIM team needs money for medications
The Troy Conference team will be going to remote area in northeast Nicaragua Feb. 3 through 17, to provide health care, health education and construction. The team will be responsible for paying for medications and some of the construction materials. Because the site is so remote and access is by unpaved roads or in airplanes so small there are tight weight limits, it difficult and expensive to get medications from the pharmacy in the capital of Managua. Cost of the medications the team hopes to bring is higher than expected. The team seeks contributions to help the team provide these needed medications. To contribute, drop a check in the offering plate made out to your church with “Nicaragua VIM” written on the notation line. The church treasurer should send it to Troy Conference account # 59126 (Nicaragua VIM). For more information and to let the team leaders know of the coming contribution, contact Jan and Pete Huston.
Clergy spouses launch blog site
“SpouseConnect,” a blog site established for the spouses of ministers, provides a safe space for the husbands and wives of pastors and others in congregational ministry to share frustrations, joys, concerns and ideas with others.
