About Golden Sweet Water is an American rock band based in Seattle. Many of the band’s members had worked together in side projects, including bassist Craig Peterson who had been part of the Seattle rock group Calm Down Juanita. The band went on a self-imposed hiatus from 2000 to 2006, but returned to the stage in 2007 and reported a new album was in the works. In 2009, drummer Chris Friel replaced Paul Uhlir, who had recently passed away.
The company failed to raise the outside funds needed to upgrade its growing equipment and pay operating expenses. While it had a solid business plan, it was unable to secure outside funding to expand its production to meet the demand from restaurants. Moreover, a July 2011 Journal Sentinel article raised questions about the company’s management and how it was able to meet its job goals. The Journal Sentinel article said that five employees quit before the Common Council approved the loan.
Performing with a full orchestra

The two guitarists, Rich Credo and Adam Czeisler, first met while on a YMCA summer camp in the San Juan Islands. They quickly became friends and teamed up to form the band Sweet Water. The band’s new album is produced by Dave Jerden, who previously worked with Alice in Chains and Jane’s Addiction. The singer has touches of grand old ‘people. The lead guitarist, Credo, has a stage name based on his real last name – Albrecht. This nickname came about after he played a gig with Sweet Water in Tacoma.
Nevins, the lead singer of Sweetwater, regained his voice after vocal therapy. After the band reunited, Nevins began performing with various configurations and was even chosen to be featured in a made-for-TV movie by Viacom Networks. This film became a popular and oft-requested hit. Several years after Sweetwater’s initial performance, the band continues to record and perform select shows.
Touring with Golden Sweet Water
After a long hiatus from touring, Sweet Water returned to the stage in 2007. They have since been on the road performing selected shows. In November 2015, the group performed a special one-off show at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall. This performance was accompanied by a full orchestra and featured vocalist Shawn Smith. The band’s last two shows at the Paramount Theater were sold out, and they continue to record and perform select shows.
